Meet Tessi's Team
Karenlynn
Karenlynn is the Owner and Founder of Tessi&Co. Growing up on a farm in Alberta, she always loved pretty spaces and spent time decorating her outdoor forts, horse stables, and barn.
Karenlynn raised 3 sons while having not one, but TWO small businesses; one in manufacturing (selling wholesale barnwood picture frames) and the other was Tessi (selling handbags and fashion accessories).
With a background in Fashion Merchandising in 1988, she created her first business plan. Karenlynn’s love for vintage and thrift started in her first year of university; she started to thrift for herself and her oldest son in his toddler years. She ended up falling more in love with thrift clothing when she went through thyroid cancer and created her second business plan around what Tessi&Co. is today (Tessi was Karenlynn’s horse, which inspired her business name)!
Shelby
Shelby is the Owner of Holden’s Florists. Shelby has 2 dogs and has 2 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters! She loves spending time with her family and walking her dogs. Originally starting her career in Event Planning and then as a Personal Support Worker, 2020 was the year that she got into the floral industry.
Shelby was presented with the exciting opportunity to purchase Holden’s Florists, which has been Dundas’ Florist since 1946. In 3 short years, Shelby expanded her business and hired Autumn in 2023. Shelby continues to serve the Dundas community with pride and provide beautiful arrangements that you’ll love.
Autumn
Autumn was hired on and joined Holden’s Florists in 2023. Autumn has 1 older sister and 2 younger brothers; she loves being with her family! Her path started in Journalism and social work, but realized that she wanted more.
While working in landscaping, Autumn ended up gaining experience in growing flowers. With her green thumb, Autumn found new creativity in floral design. Her green thumb brings passion and dedication to Holden’s. As our creative mind behind our social media channels, she cultivates engaging content that continues to bring Holden’s to life, on and off the screen.
Katie
Katie is a Multimedia Specialist who works with the Tessi Team on all things marketing. She is a bird mom of 2 and has 1 younger brother, Evan, who is her best friend. Katie has always been creative, and Tessi&Co. is the perfect space to express herself.
Katie has an extensive background that includes production, design, and content creation. She loves working with small businesses to empower their brand through multimedia, and to create lasting connections. She loves the work she does in Dundas and loves working on community projects.
